Oceanside Retreat @ The Sapphire 1906

Beautiful place. There were 6 of us and it was plenty of space. The living room only seats 4 comfortably so keep that in mind for larger groups. The view was amazing and the pool/hot tub stayed open late! The grill is not located within the unit and wasn’t working, maintenance man was rude and we asked the hosts not to send him back up. If you plan to grill steaks like we did, make sure it’s working before you spend the money on a night in. You can see the rocket from the grill (also not working) on the far side but maintenance will not unlock that side because it’s “private property.” Keep that in mind if you are going to watch a launch. We would stay here again unless we were coming specifically to watch a launch.

Recently did a 3 night stay with husband and two kids. It was such a relaxing time! We enjoyed the pool and the unit very much. Everything was clean and just as described. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!!

Great hosts, very kind and everything was just perfect

Stayed here for a girls/birthday getaway. Loved the condo and beach and pool! It was nice to have some extras like a wagon for the beach. Condo was very comfortable and clean. Definitely would recommend staying there.

This place was perfect for our family vacation! The views of the beach were absolutely spectacular — we loved waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. The easy access to both the pool and the beach made it super convenient for everyone. There was also plenty of space indoors for us to relax and enjoy quality time together. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would definitely love to come back!

Five star every time

Clean, great spot, good view of the water. Can see SpaceX launch area clearly from one of the grill balcony’s that is accessible from the hallway.

Sylvia and Rey were excelent ! the place was even better than they described. It had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. Will definitely be coming back next year! The location is amazing!

The views from the condo is breathtaking! We absolutely loved the location. Sylvia and Rey were wonderful hosts and have thought of every little detail to make your stay perfect. They even shared some of their favorite recommendations for restaurants and music. We will definitely be returning!

The view from the room is breathtaking! Lots of windows (with pull down shades for privacy). The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. You don’t have to guess instructions, everything is there along with recommendations. Margaritaville is right next door. You will need to reserve umbrellas and chairs early from Sonny’s located next to Margaritaville. Lots of food and entertainment close by. Sylvia was the most wonderful host, great communicator and when I told her where we were coming from, she gave us a heads up about construction. This is by far one of the best B&Bs I have stayed at. Hopefully it won’t be booked up the next time I come. So 5 STARS it is!!!!

This place was incredible! We went for a family vacation and the home was perfect for enjoying the beach, pool, and local bars/restaurants. It is very walkable to all and you could even walk to the closest golf cart rental place for a drive through town. Sylvia and Rey provided items that we didn’t even know we would need but were so helpful (a rolling cart for the beach, plenty of chairs, boogie boards, and much more!). We even had the best view in the city for the SpaceX Starship launch. I would highly recommend booking this home for your next vacation as it is worth every penny! Great location, great property (both the home and the complex), great amenities, and great hosts!!

Terrific experience! Sylvia and Rey were helpful and communicated well. The Condo was clean and well maintained. The premises were beautiful and well maintained. The condo staff were friendly and helpful. The next time we travel to South Padre, we'll definitely try to stay here!

Sapphire 1906 was amazing, with views of the beach along with a first class pool area. Being next door to Margaritaville was convenient for drinks yet kept the Sapphire pool area with a more family atmosphere. Already looking to book a return trip to SPI! Sylvia and Rey made it easy to use their property.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Sylvia and Rey are the best hosts! They were incredibly responsive & accommodating. The place exceeded expectations in every way - location, amenities, and stunning views! Description & images didn't do it justice. They even arranged a crib for our infant, going above & beyond. Truly a 'home away from home' feeling. Immaculately clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped. If you're lucky enough to stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Great place and communication

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo! We only wish we had stayed longer! We woke up both mornings to watch the sunrise and it was beautiful! I was stressed prior to the trip and left relaxed, healthy and happy! I will return! The hosts were so proactive and answered my emails immediately and we knew exactly what to do once we arrived! Sylvia and Rey are our go to Hosts when it comes anything in South Padre Island. Accommodating, perfect descriptions on lodging locations, and pristinely clean accommodations.

Christmas on the beach in South Padre was awesome! This was our families first trip to SPI. Sylvia is awesome at what she does. She helped with any question we had. She responds quickly to messages and followed up with us to make sure everything was okay when we arrived. Check in was a breeze. The condo is clean, comfortable, and was a great place to enjoy Christmas together on the beach. Saphire is a great complex with Margaritaville next door to enjoy the swim up bar and restaurant. I love visiting Texas and we will definitely be back. Sylvia, a special thank you from The Olson family! You’re a true gem!

Everything was exactly like the photos. We had a great time! The pool and pool area were so clean and beautiful! The view we had was incredible. We plan to return!

Absolutely fantastic! There are not too many places where you can enjoy a sunrise and sunset from your own balcony. We stayed with two kids, three grandparents, and ourselves and the condo was perfect. The place was just as in the pictures, clean and well stocked, with amazing views and it was never overly busy. An added bonus is the hotel right next door has an in-house restaurant with large menu, perfect for when we got too close to the little one’s bed time and needed a quick bite. Being at the end of SPI is a plus as the beach didn’t get too busy. Sylvia and Rey gave clear and helpful information ahead of time and were quick to answer when we had a question. We would absolutely return and rent from them again.

Nice view and easy access to the beach. Parking can be difficult. Most of the staff was nice but two were a bit rude and condescending.

This was a fantastic place, it was a perfect fit for our family! With two little kids in tow, we loved having direct access to the beach and pool. The condo was very well stocked and the owners were extremely responsive. There were 8 of us and we were all very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time at the Sapphire. The condo itself is clean and welcoming with a beautiful clean pool area and pool. The gym had a huge amount of clean and updated gym equipment over looking the pool area. The beach was beautiful, clean and so much room to spread out and enjoy your day. The condo was brilliant, spacious and very clean. It has a feeling of home with a full kitchen and three comfortable beds. When you walk in the view is spectacular. The large spacious balcony was a great place to start your morning and end your day with a view of the pool and ocean. It was very easy speaking with the host. They answered our questions right away. We will definitely come back to this condo. You will have the most relaxing time here but there is plenty to do in south padre. Thank you

The location, environment and elevated view of the gulf are outstanding. The unit was spotless and met our expectations fully. Will highly recommend this condo stay to anyone wanting to relax in privacy with an exceptional view of the beach and sunrises.

Everything about our stay was amazing! The property itself is gorgeous, the condo was perfect and the view....WOW! We had everything we needed to enjoy a great weekend at SPI. The wagon came in handy to haul our stuff down to the beach. Renting a chairs and an umbrella was the ticket! All you really need to bring are your clothes & food/drinks.....this condo has everything else. We can't wait to come back and sit on the balcony to watch the beautiful sunrise again!

Was an absolute enjoyable vacation. Place is very clean and makes you feel at home. The view is outstanding. Plenty of beach toys, body boards, towels, chairs, and a cart. The owners make sure you have everything you need for your vacation. If you are looking for a family or couple retreat this is a great place. All the instructions are left for you, as well as recommendations. After Labor Day it is very peaceful and relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sapphire. Our host was extremely easy to work with and sent all the info we needed. She also answered questions very quickly. We enjoyed the Sapphires amenities, location, and cleanliness. We plan to be back as soon as we can!

Great pool and location. Condo management did great job keeping other guests to follow rules. Love that there was access to neighbor condo pool and bar/restaurants.
